Rigorous assessment of pre-production samples to uphold design and quality standards before parts are committed to mass production.

Sample review is the structured checkpoint between design verification and mass production. Pre-production samples are evaluated against the design specification to confirm that the manufacturing process can repeatably produce parts that match the verified design.
What Sample Review Covers
- Dimensional inspection — fit, form, and tolerance against engineering drawings.
- Material verification — incoming cells, busbars, enclosures, and electronics match approved BOM.
- Functional testing — sample units exercised across charge/discharge profiles, communications, and protections.
- Workmanship review — solder joints, torque, sealing, and labeling against IPC and internal standards.
- Documentation — every sample is logged with serial, test data, and reviewer sign-off.
Why It Matters
Catching defects in sample review prevents field failures, warranty cost, and project delays. It also produces the traceable record installers and EPCs need when commissioning systems and supporting them through the warranty period.
