Fronius and Renon Unveil High-Efficiency Solar Storage Solution

Renon and Fronius, two long-time manufacturers in the solar industry, announced a new DC-coupled solution offering uninterrupted power for residential PV systems. The Fronius GEN24 and GEN24 Plus inverters (3.8–10.0 kW) and the Renon Xtreme HV 1.0 battery systems (9.6, 14.4, and 19.2 kWh) are fully certified to UL 9540.

The combination delivers high-voltage DC-coupled storage advantages with a 10-year warranty on both products — extendable by two more years of material warranty when registering on Fronius Solar.web and the Renon app. The new battery is available in North America starting February 12, 2026.

Renon Xtreme HV 1.0 — Built for High Efficiency & Scalability

A high-voltage residential battery with a 192–384 V range to minimize transmission losses. Modular design supports 2 to 4 stacked modules with dynamic current equalization. Includes smart-management Wi-Fi, an intelligent EMS, and a battery optimizer rated for up to 8,000 cycles. Certified to IEC 62619, UN 38.3, UL 1973, and UL 9540.

Fronius GEN24 — Future-Ready PV Inverter

GEN24 can be upgraded to GEN24 Plus via the over-the-air UP.storage software update, letting homeowners add storage when ready. Features high efficiency, active cooling, and Dynamic Peak Manager shade monitoring. Ships with built-in basic backup via the integrated PV Point — a 15 A GFCI outlet that works even without a battery. Certified to UL 1741 SA, UL 1741 SB, UL 1699B, UL 9540, and IEEE 1547-2018.
